New Requirements for Retirement Extensions

Retirement extensions may now be a 2-step process

I heard this from a reliable source, but please treat is as rumor until there is more confirmation.

This is perfectly logical, but it never got mentioned in the original discussions that I know of.

Obtaining an retirement extension using the bank deposit method may now require two visits to Imm. The first to confirm that 800K has been on deposit for two months prior to the application for the extension. Then, a second visit three months later to confirm that the 800K has remained on deposit for three months. At that time, final approval for the annual extension will be granted.

Has anyone else heard about this?
